[en] A better understanding of the rock cutting mechanisms is required for the improvement of the PCD drilling tools. Some researches had already been done in this topic but generally in atmospheric conditions and thus they don't take into account the mud pressure.
The aim of this thesis is to consider this mud pressure to develop a model that could provide an indication of the forces acting on the tools under this condition. For this purpose, laboratory tests and rock cutting modeling by DEM will be used and this poster will present the future development of this work.
