[en] This paper focuses on sight translation, i.e. an oral translation of a written text, that students at the FTI-EII (Belgium) are trained for in class as it provides trainees with many benefits, but which remains an underexplored research area in Translation Studies. It will present the method used in class and the results of a study carried out on a corpus of students' sight translations of two genres (press articles and popularizing science articles) from a register perspective.
