Abstract :
[en] Sight translation is understood as a hybrid between translation and interpretation (Dragsted & Hansen, 2009)and is known to show pauses and repetitions that can be understood as markers of cognitive effort (Dragsted, 2005; Dragsted & Hansen, 2009; O’Brien, 2006). The objective of this study is to analyze the correlation between pauses and repetitions in sight translation, which are markers of cognitive effort and the sight translation of metaphors, which are known to induce a heavier cognitive effort than the translation of non-metaphors.
