[en] Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) are a class of targeted drugs with antiangiogenic and antitumor activities that are increasingly used in the treatment of malignant pathologies. Due to interindividual metabolic variability, an accurate therapeutic drug monitoring represents a key point from a translational point of view. Three TKIs tested in a clinical research study (namely sunitinib, axitinib and pazopanib) are under investigation.
The aim of this work is to develop a similar analytical procedure able to permit the three TKIs identification and quantification in human plasma. A UPLC method coupled to UV detection after a preextraction step using SPE (or µSPE) will be here described.
