A representative is a person who can add publications to ORBi on your behalf.
To appoint a representative, log into ORBi. Then click on your name in the top right corner and then on "My Profile".
In the "Choose a Representative" section, enter the first few letters of the last name of the person you want to appoint as your representative:
Select its name from the list and click on the "Update Profile" button at the bottom of the page:
Your agent can now access your account via their own ORBi account.
Please note: never give your ORBi username or password to anyone, or to your representative. Access to your account is only via this procedure.
Also, don't forget that references filed by a representative must always be validated by the author before being visible to everyone.
Once an author has appointed you as a representative, you can add publications in their place.
Once logged in to ORBi, click on your name in the top right corner and select the name of the author for whom you want to add a publication:
Once in the author's account, you are identified as a representative. You can add publications by clicking on “Publications” and following the procedure detailed here.
To return to your account, click on your name in the top right corner and select "For me" then click on your MyORBi.
Access to an author's account as a proxy should only be done in this way. You should never ask an author for their username and password.
Also, remember that references added by you as a proxy must always be validated by the author before being visible to everyone.
