Abstract :
[en] The research objective is to analyze the influence of family solidarity on the financial structure of family small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located in Eastern region of Democratic Republic of Congo. Building on a sample of 522 family SMEs, the results suggest that family solidarity has a significant and positive influence on the total debt level of family SMEs. These results reveal the need for owner-managers to ensure harmonious family relationships across generations to have access to financial resources.
