[en] The impact of Cognitive Grammar (CG) in the FL classroom has remained modest despite all the thought-provoking pedagogical suggestions that have already been put forward . This study explores ways of objectifying the usability of teaching materials tapping into CG. Usability refers to “the appropriateness to a purpose of any artifact” (Brooke, 1996, p. 4), which, in the case of cognitive-pedagogical teaching materials, refers to their perceived facilitative potential.
