'A global rating scale for the summative assessment of pragmatic translation at Masters level: an attempt to combine academic and professional criteria'
[en] This article presents the global rating scale for summative assessment used at the University of Lille III to evaluate students in the Masters programme in specialised multilingual translation. The goal of this degree programme is to place university learning within the larger context of the requirements of the professional market. In developing this scale, the challenge was to provide a method of summative assessment for specialised texts that would be as objective as possible, to analyse both the translational competence of the prospective graduate (academic criteria) as well as the know-how essential to making him a player in the market for specialised translation (professional criteria).
